TN Trip

We headed East early on Saturday morning to visit Denver's sister and her family in TN.

Denver's parents met us in Knoxville, TN that evening. As we started up the mountains, I began to get sick. The thought crossed my mind that I had maybe gotten carsick so we stopped and bought a case of ginger ale close to her house. Soon after we got there, I was in bed and discovered I had some sort of stomach virus. I was sick and this was not how I wanted to start our mini-vacation. I was feeling somewhat better the second night and left the house the third day as we were scheduled to goto Nashville. This is NOT how I like to spend my vacations. I felt bad that I spent the whole time holed up being sick, and didn't get to see much of our niece. She was so sweet and happy to see us when we arrived. So I ended up seeing very little of Knoxville before we made our way to Nashville. We did make a few stops at some of my favorite stores including World Market. I have a Pinterest project on my mind now with something I bought that I promise to share later.

Denver had an Allstate meeting and I have tagged along. Normally their meetings happen at the same time I have something going on at work and can't make them. I was happy to find out this year's was on a bank holiday AND I was free! We made it to our hotel and they upgraded us. I almost laughed when they said we were upgraded because the last time we were here, we were upgraded for free. Oh well, I am thankful we have a pretty view and more often than not, that doesn't happen. We are going to have this pretty view for the next couple of days. It sure does make up for where I have been spending most of my vacation time.

Too bad I can't catch a show at the Grand Ole Opry. I do have a couple of other places we are hoping to catch live music. You all know my obsession with the show Nashville, so I am thrilled to be in Nashville.
