NetFlix Movies and Apple TV

Last night Denver and I had our normal Friday night date. Only this time we were both home earlier (around sixish) and decided to have dinner at East Side Grill. I had a new dish, Mushroom Ravioli with Shrimp and Denver had fish and chips. It was really good. We got home and watched our movie he rented from Redbox called Pitch Perfect. I thought it sounded cute and was really good. 

When we got done, it was nine thirty and we thought wow! We got done early and decided to sign up for our free 30 day trial of Netflix. We have never been Netflix people. We have been Redbox people. I even go as far as reserving them and we just run by and pick them up. So how many people are on the Netflix bandwagon. What all have you watched? I have been wanting to watch Friday Night Lights because I have heard so many great things. Also the same actress on my new favorite show Nashville was a star in it apparently.

We were joking how we are so behind the times to just now sign up for Netflix, and Denver said next next we would be hooking up our Apple TV. Who has an Apple TV? How does it work? I just haven't figured out what the purpose is behind it. Sorry we just have Uverse, and DVR everything. I wouldn't be against giving up the Uverse if I knew how these other things worked and could I still get my shows I watch other avenues?
